J R Firby Ltd is run by Richard & Debbie Firby. The
company is situated at Slingsby, which is 14 miles North East of
York just off the B1257 near the Castle Howard Estate. Richard farms and
tries to use machines on the farm in order to make sure they are genuine
and have no major faults. Most machines are checked over, with some
repairs under taken in the workshop. Our main line of business is buying
and selling combines and tractors ranging from models in the 1980s up to
machines as new as one year old. Not only do we buy and sell
tractors, forklifts and combines but we also deal in all agricultural
machinery from grassland to arable. We use a mixture of local
hauliers who efficiently and economically move machinery around the
country.
